How It Works:

1. Schedule a personalized Zoom or Google Meet call with the Certified Senior Advisor to discuss the wants and needs of the senior and the family.

2. If necessary, an in-home assessment is conducted at the senior's home to create a care plan detailing the amount, scope, and type of personalized services the senior and family members require.

3. The Black Cove Care Service Agreement is signed by the senior and/or their Power of Attorney. And we begin!

  • Do you provide free consultations before we decide on a home care professional?
Absolutely! We are delighted to offer you a 100% free consultation before you make any decisions regarding home care for your loved ones. Our goal is to ensure that you have all the information you need to make an informed choice and to design a personalized care plan that meets your specific needs and goals. During the free consultation, we take the time to thoroughly understand your requirements and the unique circumstances of the senior(s) in question. Here's what you can expect during the consultation: Assessment of Care Needs: A comprehensive assessment of the senior's care needs, considering their medical history, mobility level, cognitive abilities, and any specific conditions or requirements. Personalized Care Plan: Based on the assessment, we work with you to create a personalized care plan that outlines the specific services needed. This may include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication management, companionship, meal preparation, transportation, and more. Caregiver Preferences: We discuss your preferences for caregivers, considering factors such as certifications, qualifications, language preferences, and compatibility with the senior(s). Care Schedule and Flexibility: We determine the required care schedule, whether it's part-time, full-time, or occasional respite care. We are flexible and can adjust the schedule as needed to accommodate changing circumstances. Safety and Security Measures: We explain the safety and security measures we have in place to protect the senior(s) in their home, including thorough background checks and caregiver training. Emergency Preparedness: We discuss our protocols for handling emergencies to ensure the well-being of the senior(s) in unexpected situations. Communication and Updates: We establish effective communication channels to keep you informed about the senior's care, progress, and any changes in their condition. Additional Services: If needed, we provide information about additional services we offer, cleaning, organizing, transportation, grocery shopping, etc. Pricing and Billing: We transparently discuss our pricing structure, payment options, and any available discounts or packages. Satisfaction Guarantee: We want to assure you of our commitment to your satisfaction and our willingness to make adjustments if necessary. Our free consultation is an essential step in tailoring our home care services to meet your specific needs and provide you with peace of mind. We value your trust and want to make the decision-making process as informed and comfortable as possible. Feel free to schedule a consultation with us, and we'll be more than happy to address every detail that needs consideration to provide the best care for your loved ones.
  • Are your practitioners certified professionals?
At our company, we offer both certified professionals and non-certified professionals to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our clients. Our certified caregivers have undergone formal training, obtained relevant certifications, and possess the necessary qualifications and expertise to provide high-quality care. We also provide the option of hiring non-certified caregivers who possess valuable experience and a compassionate approach to caregiving as well as a more cost-effective choice for clients seeking general assistance and companionship without the need for specialized medical care. Non-certified professionals can still offer attentive support and personal care to clients, including assistance with daily activities, companionship, and emotional support.
  • What should I consider when choosing a non-medical care provider?
When choosing a non-medical care provider for a senior, several crucial factors should be considered. Opting for a trustworthy, dependable, and knowledgeable caregiver can significantly enhance the quality of life for the senior and bring peace of mind to the entire family. Attributes to consider in a caregiver are trustworthiness, dependability, knowledge, expertise, common sense, promoter of independence, as well as continuous monitoring and communication with the family.
